We have analysed UN data on electricity production data in over 219 countries: how it is generated; the amount generated for heat vs electricity; and the amount lost in transmission and distribution (T&D). From that data we have derived accurate emission factors for grid electricity and T&D losses in CO2, CH4 and N2O per kWh for each country. These factors with your chosen Global Warming Potential (GWP) can then be used to calculate scope 2 CO2e emissions and Scope 3 T&D CO2e emissions associated with your electricity consumption for every country around the world.
 
All current datasets come with an automatic upgrade to emission factors released in 2022.
